How to ask a doc?

I'm wondering how we ask a doc on this site like a gastroenternologist?

Hi, i hope ive posted this in the right section & im hoping someone on here can help.
I recently had unprotected oral sex with a sex worker both receiving (a ******** from her to completion in her mouth) & also giving to her. Im hoping someone can tell me what the chances of me having an Std are & whether or not i should get tested. Please help if u can as im worrying. Thanks

It's probably that they may not currently have a doctor monitoring that forum.  The docs that provide answers here on medhelp do so on a volunteer basis, so sometimes their time is very limited on here.  Therefore you may sometimes find an "expert" forum that is not currently accepting any new questions.  My advice would be to either keep checking the expert forum and hopefully catch when they are accepting new questions, or you could also ask your question in this forum - it could be that one of the other members either has teh same condition or may have a knowledgable answer for you.  I can certainly understand if you'd rather only ask a doctor your question.

You may also try searching through the archive section of the expert forum to see if there might have been a question similar to yours asked in the past.  You may be able to find some information that way.
