Also the day i had my operation i was 14 stone 10 lbs in weight now here i am 4 weeks later 11 stone 4 lbs  and all the arm and chest pains  etc are driving me mad ..

I have to wait 4 weeks to see the guy who did my operation !!

I had a nissen in late Sept.  It took me a long time to find what was comfortable to eat.  At 4 weeks you are probably doing fine.  I don't have trouble swallowing most things anymore, but have to eat very small portions.  I also have continued problems with stomach ulcers and I am never sure if it is the nissen or the ulcers.  The weight loss happened be me as well.  I don't know what to say about the shoulder and arm pains as I am still having those problems and they are actually getting worse.  I was recently sent to a cardiologist to rule out heart problems and will go to a neurologist next.  Don't hesitate to call your surgeon's office.  I did a few times during my early recovery and they were very reassuring.

Hi My friend  thank you for your post ... inst it interesting  that you also are having pains in your arms ..chest etc  the same as i am  !!  I will be seeing my surgeon on the 28th of this month and i shall also be making an appointment to see a nerve  specialist or maybe poor blood circulation ?? i dont know if any of these are the cause of the arms ..chest...shoulder blade pains etc etc ..Strange though as  i thought all these pains were due to my Hiatus hernia and obviously after my operation they are back but much worse so i think if you and i do manage to find the cause of these pains maybe we could post it here so we can help each other and maybe any one else who may be suffering the same post operation problems ..

I shall keep you informed as i go along ..

Take care

Adrian
