Daily-vite weight control....never had any stomach problems, until i came down with a stomach bug, it lasted 6 days, with nausa, gas (growling and rumbling of stomach), a mix of diarrhea and loose stools), went to doctor, he put me on prevacid 2 weeks ago, because the gas and nasuea still stayed, now....2 weeks later, i have ocaisional naseua, still some gas, always loose stools, (light brown) and the minute i wake up in the morning i have diarrhea feeling, run to bathroom and pass loose stools (not water) just pieces that are released easily, there is not a morning that goes by that this doesnt happen, is it the previacid??, my docotor told me to wait another 2 weeks for the previcad to work, if im feeling the same go to a gastrolagist....also my throat seems closed, and i cough a little, due to it, i think that just might be my anxiety, but its getting annoying...any idea whats going on thanks soooo much amy
prevacid usually cause constipation.
it is possible prevacid is reacting with the other medication you are taking.
prevacid is a strong drug for treating acid reflux, are you taking 30mg??
prevacid gives me constipation ,not diarhea (diarrhea).

I think the brain overcompensates to fight the effects of the drugs and that causes the worsening of the anxiety. I'm not taking xanax anymore and using drug-free techniques to control my panic attacks and anxiety. Positive thinking and therapy does wonders for this problem.
