I have bad breath coming from my throat

I would like to know what is a possible cause of this sudden symptom...

I do not have bad breath usually, this started 3-4 days ago. The odor is intermittent, which means that when I ask other people how my breath smells, they say it ok. However, sometimes I suddently smell a FECAL odor coming from my throat (I don't know if it is from my throat or from further down below) but I know that it is not coming from my mouth since I brush my teeth and I do not eat foods that tend to smell bad.

Yesterday, I was also having this pain in my ears. I thought that I might have an ear infection (since the pain seems to be localized really far down in the ears, not externally). Then, I touched my tonsils and I noticed that they were very inflammed (yes, I am able to touch my tonsils). Today, both the pain and the inflammation seem to be gone but I still smell this fecal odor coming from my throat. I went to see a doctor today and he said that my tonsils were back to their normal size...

I also have heartburn sometimes, especially in the morning. Last week, I had diarrhea and there was pink bright blood and mucus that came at the end of my stools. I also completely lost appetite just before that. However, the diarrhea occured only once and now I have a normal appetite and normal stools...

I would to know what's happening to me.. my doctor couldn't help. By the way, I am only 19 years old.

Interresting that you mentioned about bad breath and that you still have your tonsils. I just watched a show today called the Doctors and one of the things that they talked about was if you were have problems with bad breath and you still had your tonsils that you could have what is called tonsil stones. What it is, is old food that gets stuck and rots and ends ith a up as stones they say you can reach back by your tonsils with a q-tip and use the end to work the stones out.
