I have gallstones and pregnant

I have gallstones and pregnant

I am six weeks pregnant and I have gallstones and it seems llike no matter what i eat i hurt. And when i have my attacks it lasts for hours and hours and normally does not stop until I take some type of pain medinice. Now I am concerned with what can happen if I have surgery now to have my gallbladder taken out can it hurt my baby? What can I do to keep from having my gallbladder from hurting. please someone help me!!!

I'm so sorry to hear about your predicament. This seems like a real pickle to get into.

I don't know about having surgery while pregnant, but I would assume that it wouldn't be good. Same would go for the narcotics though too. You'll really need to evaluate all of your options with your doctor and try to determine the best course of action.

If you haven't already.. you'll need to adjust your diet for the acute cholecystitis (low fat intake). You may look up natural remedies to take if you have to wait until full term for the cholecystecotmy. I'm not a homeopathic expert, but have read that the following may help: Dandelion juice with watercress, Chicory juice, Black Seed oil, Olive oil with lemon and grapefruit juice, Beetroot juice.
