liver. He was admitted to the hospital last Monday, had a CT Scan on Tuesday, and we found that he has liver cancer. My father was released today from the hospital as our doctor told us that only prayers could help us. He has still yellow
eyes.
This is the CT Scan result:
liver is 15.5cm in its craniocaudad dimension and there is an irregular mass noted at segment 5 measuring approx. 4.5(AP) x 4.5(AP) x 4.0(H)cm.
gallbladder cannot be identified
spleen
3.0(AP) x 5.0(W) x 2.5(H)cm.
small calcification in the abdominal aorta
minimal marginal spurs in the bodies of the thoracolumbar spine
minimal fluid collection in the perihepatic and pelvic area
pleural thickening in both posterior inner thorax
rest of the visceral and osseous structures are not remarkable
The impression:
hepatomegaly with probable cirrhotic change and mass at segment 5
splenomegaly
unidentified gallbladder
minimal ascites
enlarged prostate with concretions due to bph
atherosclerotic abdominal aorta
thoracolumbar spine osteophytoses
bilateral pleural thickening
my question is, is there hope for my father? we are now considering alternative medicine. is this ok?
if there is no hope, how long do you think he has left?
