I need some direction.. Blood clot in stool.

I need some direction.. Blood clot in stool.

I am a 21 yr old Female. 5'2" 121lbs. I have had pretty good health for the most part, except for kidney stones 2x's.

A few days ago I started not feeling too well, a little nausous, stomach ache, exahsted and I assumed it was from stress and just me getting sick. Then 2 days ago I went #2 and I passed a blood clot in my stool. It was dark red and mainly just attatched to it, but a little bit mixed in. I have not had any bleeding or drops or anything else before this or since then. I have been reading up on what it could be and it has led me all over the place. I have some discomfort in my abdomen, but have just assumed I might be pmsing(im never sure bc I am very iregular.) So i'm not sure how to pin point if I actually have any symptoms. I have been more sleepy them normal and not on a good sleep schedule.

I know it would be best to just go to a doctor, but my health insurance is in GA and I am currently at school in NY. I just need to know if this is something I need to fly back to get checked out. Any direction would be great.

Thank you for your help.

p.s. When I first had these symptoms, my first reaction was to check for a pregnancy. I took 4 of them all negative(i took them 1 day before the clot showed up.) The clot was also 100% in my poop. Not even a 1% chance of a miscarage.

Blood ex rectum is never normal and should always be investigated.  Regular bleeding of ~100 mls of blood requires urgent medical attention as does a single loss of a larger quantity.

I suppose it depends on when you next plan to go to Georgia.  Maybe if this is in 2-3 days and there are no further bleedings then it can wait till then - but everyone's symptoms are different.

On the most cautious note there is probably a case for saying "get it checked out now because if you are on an aeroplane and you have a torrential bleed then it is not desirable to be unable to rush to a hospital etc..."
