Ileostomy Reversal 15 yr reunion

I had an Ileostomy for about 3 months (because of a perforation in my sm. intestines following a lap) and a reversal that was over 15 years ago.  I still have staples viewable on xray...I have several kinds digestive complaint from GERDS  to some crazy intense pain that causes dumping (only at night-figure that one out)
Here's my Question.....
I have always had discomfort in the area where my staples show up on said xray.  Recently, I have had a significant increase in pain, black tarry stools, and nausea.  I have had an endoscopy in the last year with a clean bill of health.  Any thoughts???

Black tarry stools is suggestive of bleeding that may be somewhere 'upstream' - such as in the region of the stomach. Blood that enters an area of digestive enzymes such as those that are found in the small intestine can result in production of a black tar-like stool.

Despite the clean bill of health on last year's colonoscopy, I'd suggest you get in touch with your doctor and make an appointment.

Just to add to Calgal's comments above, the medical name for black tarry stools is melena and you may be able to obtain further information if you type this word into google or yahoo or .... etc
