I'll Never have another Colonscopy!!!

I had my first colonscopy  the 19th of July, and today is the 27th of July, and it still hurts to walk, move, cough, and the pain after I eat is like lightning going thru me. Can anyone tell me is this normal?  The doctor said have another one in 5 years, but it will take an act  of congress to have me go thru this much pain again.

Welcome to the gastroenterology community!  No this is not normal.  I would recommend you go back to your doctor to figure out what is going wrong.  If he dismisses you, then I would find another doctor or go to the ER.

I'm very sorry you had to go through so much pain from your colonoscopy.  But colonoscopies can actually prevent colon cancer by removing pre-cancerous polyps and they can detect colon cancer before you show symptoms.  Just think about how painful colon cancer would be with chemo, radiation, and surgery.
