Inflammation of the Esophagus

A few months ago I was in the hospital with tightness in my chest and pain in my shoulders. They did  MRIs, Xrays, stress test, endoscopy and said it was not my heart. All they told me was that I had a small hiatal hernia and some inflammation of the Esophagus. Also digenerative disk in my upper back/neck. They didn't give me any meds or tell me what to do. I also have itchy skin with no rash. My biggest complaint at the moment is the tight feeling my my chest right below my ribs. Is that caused by the hiatal hernia or the Esophagus?. Sometimes it feels like someone is sitting on me or that I can't get a good breath. Other times, it feels like someone is grabbing a hold of my lungs or my heart for a second. I don't get a lot of heart burn - just mostly when I lay down. I don't know if the itchy skin is related but it seems to come about the same time as the tightness feeling. I've been to Drs and no one seems to know what is causing the itching or the tightness. Just that it's not my lungs or my heart.

hi, i amazed they didnt prescribe any medication for you. anyway yes your symptoms are from the hernia and inflammation, but whats causing your inflammation is what your doctors should have looked for. i think you have a digestive infection hence the inflammation and itching, because when your body is fighting a foreign bug it tends to give off your symptoms, take panadol along with mylanta ant-acid medication for a week and see if your symptoms subside, cheers.
