Intermittent upper abdominal pains

by sunnywardrobe, Nov 03, 2009 08:05AM
I suffered from intermittent pains that behaved in similar fashion over one week and then stopped.
The pain is different from all other pains I have encountered previously in my life.
Always in the same position-upper abdominals. It occurs as a slight pull that gradually increases, with the pain reaching a peak and then residing again. This lasts for a few seconds and then can happen again within the next half hour or hours again later. But always in this manner. During teh day, I would suffer from discomfort and have to stop walking and hunch in order to feel more secured.
I do not have to go to the toilet at all during or after these pangs. My bowel movements were as per usual. I felt no nausea nor fever. Naturally, my appetite took a beating and I was more cautious about the food intake, avoiding spicy food where possible.
I am well now but am wondering what that period of time may have been and if I should worry about it still or leave it be.
