Intestinal Partial Blockage

Intestinal Partial Blockage

I just left the hospital for an intestinal partial blockage.  The doctors decided to take a wait and see approach.  I had a cat scan that showed the blockage.  I did not vomit or run a fever from the time I entered the hospital.  I am on a low residue diet but I am still feeling alot of movement in my lower intestines.  Is this a concern or part of the healing process.

Did you have surgery to correct the blockage?  Is it clear now?  Did the docs tell you what caused the blockage?  Did you have a bowel movement before leaving the hospital?  I have had a lot of experience with this, and surgery was always needed, and my son could not leave the hospital until he had a bowel movement.  The fact that you are feeling a lot of rumbling is good!

I did not have surgery.  They want to do a wait and see.  I did have a bowel movement beffore leaving the hospital.  I am taking a stool softner.  I have been having a bowel movement in the mornings.  It looks normal except for the color.  I am still feeling alot of movement down low.  No pain but alot of movement.
