Intra-abdominal Adhesions

Intra-abdominal Adhesions

I was hospitalized earlier last month for severe constipation, distended bladder, inability to urinate, nausea, vomiting, inability to hold down food or fluid, and abdominal/pelvic cramping/pain. I just underwent laprascopic surgery 8 days ago for suspected endometriosis of the cecum. Turns out I had adhesions binding my uterus and bowel together and my bowel was distended. Are these adhesions likely a result of my c-section? Are the adhesions the likely cause of all of the issues I have? How long will it take for me to see any improvement post-op? I still  have pain, trouble with the bathroom, trouble eating, nausea/vomiting, etc. I have been taking a lot of Miralax to have a bm (about 7 doses daily), but then I get really bad diarrhea and leak stool. However, if I don't take or take less, I don't have a bm. I am hoping there is light at the end of the tunnel and this will all pass very soon so I can get my life back. I am 33 years old and also have Ehlers Danlos hypermobility type.

I have heard that c-sections often cause adhesions which can lead to pain and bowel problems....you can google scar tissue/adhesions and look at a lot of information there.....

Good luck
