Is Surgery the solution for my Diverticulitis ?

Hi, I am a 35 year old male and in fairly good Health. I was first diagnosed with Diverticulitis almost 2 years ago after needing to go to the ER because of the pain(spent 4 days in the hospital on Intravenous Antibiotics). I had the followup Colonoscopy a month later and all was fine so i thought.  I had another outbreak 3 months ago but this time because the pain was too familiar, i went to my doctor, a CT with contrast was done which confirmed the outbreak. I was placed on oral antibiotics and followed up with a Gastroenterologist. He did not recommend a change of diet but did advise that if i got another outbreak Surgery might be needed.

Needless to say, today i am again on antibiotics after suffering another outbreak over the weekend which was again confirmed with a CT scan. This is the 2nd outbreak in less than 4 months.

My question is, should i consider surgery at this point?
