Is it GERD?

by fearfactor, Jun 18, 2007 05:21PM
Yesterday, I ate a greasy and spicy meal, which I am not accustomed to.  I got very full, and then later in the day I started feeling nauseous and burped up a LOT of acid and pieces of food (I know that is disgusting, sorry).  The acid was so overwhelming it made my throat burn so badly I could feel it in my ears.  It was really weird, I have never had that happen before.  Even today, my throat is sore and scratchy feeling from it and I am having minor burps with acid.  Could this be GERD?  Is it normal to have acid that hurts your throat so badly and have burning in your ears?
