Is it just food poisoning?

Twice in two weeks I have woken up with severe cramping and nausea and last night it included vomiting. I felt like I had a rock sitting in my stomach I assumed that was from undigested food. Is that a symptom of food poisoning or something different? I chalked up the first incident to food poisoning but when it happened again so soon I started to think something else might be going on, I can't possible be that bad a cook!
