Is percocet for treating Crohn's?

  Could you please tell me if the drug percocet is normally used to treat crohn's, or what other medication's
Dear Mar,
Percocet is a medication used to relieve pain. A side effect of this medication is constipation.It is the combination of the narcotic oxycodone and acetaminophen. It may be used in patients with Crohn's disease to relieve pain or halt diarrhea but it does not treat the inflammatory process perse. The medications commonly used to treat Crohn's disease include: anti-inflammatory agents such as sulfasalazine, aminosalicylates, oral and intravenous corticosteroids.
