Is there any relationships of having colon cancer and a liver hemangioma?

by grandmahelen, Sep 30, 2009 07:34PM
Hello,
I am wondering if a hemangioma and colon cancer is related. My husband has had colon cancer. They removed all but 10 inches of his large intestines and gave him a colostomy. It is not reversable. Now the Cancer DR found a 7.2 cm hemangioma on his liver. It seems the two Dr's are in a spitting contest about what it is. One says a hemangioma and the other says a tumor. We have had an MRI, CT of the Abdomen, with attention to the liver, and now this Friday they will do a PET Scan
All they do is more tests. how much and what do you look for?
Thanks
Helen & David Ridge
