Is this acid reflux?

Hi, i've been having this choking sensation in my throat for a while now, feels like undigested food stuck in my throat and refusing to go down, sometimes, when i swallow continuously, it seems to go past it and it feels like i'm gagging. other times, when i finally belch some air out, it seems to get better. when i sleep, it sometimes makes me find it difficult to breath while lying down, and once i really struggled in my sleep,  which really got me scared. Is this acid reflux, or something else?

Thanks for your contribution. I'll follow up with my doctor. After i had been told several times that there was nothing wrong with me by several doctors, i finally decided it was all in my mind, but really the lightheadedness and choking sensation did not feel like it was just in my mind, so i'll go and check with the doctors once more. I hope you get better soon though. Will be praying with you.

This sounds like something I used to  experience a few years ago, especially when I ate something sticky like rice.  Go to the doctor.  I have been finally diagnosed with liver disease with non-alocholic cirrhosis -- one of the side illnesses is esophogeal varices.  Treated early you can find relief but could be underlying more serious condition.  My diagnosis is not typical -- went from no liver disease to end stage and I got checked every six months.  I mentioned this once to a doctor andhe treated gas/reflux because I appeared healthy and he didn't expect anything serious.  Be proactive in your healthcare.
