Is this normal? Post surgical "seepage"

I had gallbladder surgery on Nov. 14 and the incision still bleeds a little.  It was only a drop or less a day, but yesterday it was oozing/seeping a few drops or so at a time for over two hours.  That particular incision is also now tender/sore, where it wasn't before.  There is no discoloration or anything.  Is this normal?  I want your opinions before I bug my doc about it since I'm not terribly worried about it.  Just curious.  I go back to see him next week anyway.

I had a surgery on my right foot about two years ago, and the incision kept opening up and seeping.  The dr. was baffled.  They did an MRI to make sure there was nothing going on internally, and they gave me several rounds of anitibiotics.  This took months to heal.

The previous surgery I had was my gall bladder removed, and had no difficulty healing then, but this time I did.  So a couple of years later, I am having stomach problems and they find out I had a parasite, H-pylori and I read that sometimes people have healing after surgery because your immune system isn't working properly.

So another year later, I needed to have another foot surgery, and the dr. made sure they gave me I.V. antibiotics during the surgery.  After 10 days, the sutures came out.  That night I started bleeding profusely.  I applied pressure, wrapped my foot and kept it elevated.

I went to the Dr. the next day, and he said it was doing fine, just clean it with Iodine wipes twice a day, to dry it out, then apply neosporene once a day.  I did that for two weeks, and yesterday it started to bleed a little.  But I've had seepage off and on almost every other day.

I'll have to call my dr. again tomorrow.

They are better and no dripage from the large incision. I think I could eat most things and seem to have re-adjusted well. If anything, I been a little constipated and will add some more fruits to my diet today.

Yea Jay, I think it's the one with me too. It's higher and near center. I think it's the one they "yank the sack" out of. It hasn't dripped in 2 days but itches. I'm progressing and have eaten a slice of pizza, no problem. Next maybe a burger but not fried chicken. all the best

That's the same incision that gave me the most aggravation after surgery.  I think it's just that it's right where your upper ab muscles are, and they get quite a workout even when you're taking it easy.  Kind of feels like the aftermath of getting punched in the gut.  :-)

Couldn't get through yesterday and completely forgot about it today.  Been really busy today.  I don't think it's a problem.  It doesn't hurt today.  Not yet at least.  Usually by the end of the day it hurts (just that one incision upper middle abd.) no matter what I do.  I go back to school starting Thursday evening, so I better hurry up and heal.  Can't afford to take any more time off.  If I start bleeding again I'll call the doc even if it's two o'clock in the morning.

Yeah i dont think that is normal at all...I took my bandages off after a wk and they were all ready scabbed(sp?) over...And its not bugging your doctor, they should understand you might have concerns you dont know what the norm is.

Just call his office and run it by the nurse.  If it's something serious, they'll ask you to come in for an exam.  If not, they can give you instructions for treatment over the phone.
