leadLead poisoning to the stomach that prolapses into the esophageal lumen (i.e. gastric mucosal prolpase). These conditions should not be life threatening. Typically, treatment involves anti-acid medications. More severe or refractory cases may require surgery.
As for delayed gastric emptying, various medications can be considered first. This can inclide pro-kinetics such as the antibiotic erythromycin or Reglan. A gastric emptying scan should be considered to quantify the amount of gastroparesis.
