I recently had an x-ray in my chiropractors office, wherein he noticed a loop of my intestine up above my stomach on the left side of my chest. He's a very experienced doctor, by the way, and he showed it to me on the film, so it's not imaginary. I don't know if there's a partial
obstruction, but I have been very nauseous, and can hardly eat. It's making me very ill, and I went to the hospital, who told me I was fine and gave me a handful of prescriptions I didn't fill. The right side of my chest is very painful
, and right now over the counter anti-gas pills are the only thing making it bearable. Any advice on what to do? Many thanks. BTW, I had a very bad C-section wherein they either damaged my diaphragm
Hi - if I were you I would get an appt with a gastroenterologist and ask for an upper endoscopy. This will enable him/her to see the oesophagus, stomach and small intestine A barium
follow through might also be a good idea. If all looks normal, there are other tests on the gall bladder that can be done. With due respect, a chiropractor, no matter how experienced in his limited field, is not the doctor to see regarding gastro-intestinal problems. In my limited experience of ER rooms, they neither have the equipment immediately available, nor a gastro standing by, to do these tests.
