Laryngospasms caused by Silent Acid Reflux

This forum has just about saved my life! Had laryngospasms for years, family doctor could not diagnose. Finally sleep doctor did - severe silent acid reflux. Been taking DGL (licorice) for 12 weeks and it has been wonderful - only a quiver in my throat every so often.  Now, I'm afraid- no, terrified, to get off the DGL.  Is there a maintenance dosage I should take?  Been taking 2 before each meal.  Don't know what to do next.  Could someone please help me.  Thank you, thank you.
