Later stage of Cirrhosis

My boyfriend is 54 years of age. He has cirrhosis of the liver. Recently he began having troubles with his gall bladder. The gastroenterologist said that this was stable. One month later I found him almost dead. It turned out that the liver had leaked into his stomach and his blood was poisoned. This is the first time that this has happened. After 3 weeks of treatment the hospital drained this fluid. He is unable to have a transplant due to his Pulmonary Hypertension. He has also continued to drink throughout his disease up until this recent complication. He is on a higher dose of diuretics and is taking the lactosal? medicine. He has been really tired, and has jaundice. His jaundice isn't green, it is yellowish. Is he at the beginning of the end stage of cirrhosis? Will he be able to lead a relatively normal life if he gives up drinking? Or is it to late?

My husband has had Cirrhoses, there are somany syntoms and everytime I ask the dr. he always just says is the liver but I want to know what to look for, or why he is doing this or that...I really would like to have ppl that have love ones like a support group cz I really think they help more then Dr. by that I mean they take time to explained to you with more detail, and you will feel more support cz ppl are going thrugh the same thing .. I really need help my husband is sleeping and talking a lot in his sleep and I call the dr. and he just tells me is his liver... yea but what can I do??? he doesnt worry but I do. can I get some email or number from ppl that are caregivers for this people.  thank you
