Is leaky gut syndrome recognized by gastroenterologists?  How is it treated?

The standard test for leaky gut syndrome is the mannitol and lactulose test.

I do NOT recommend ordering some online tests.

Leaky gut syndrome is usually a result of some well known disorder like celiac disease or small intestinal bacterial overgrowth, or Crohn's disease etc.

There's one absorption test for leaky gut syndrome. Treatment depends on the cause.
