Left Side Abdominal Pain?

Left Side Abdominal Pain?

I am getting so frustrated, I thought maybe asking others on a forum might help.  This whole ordeal started last August.  I had a nasty bout with kidney stones.  CT scan revealed I had one, they did another one about two weeks later showing it was moving so let it go.  Never did catch it.  This was on my left side.  For quite some time afterward I kept getting the same type of pain.  It started happening more and more frequently, getting me to the point I am now where it never goes away not matter if I am lying, sitting, standing, awake, nothing.  I was back in a few times and they kept blaming it on more kidney stones.  Docs never found it odd that I'd never had one in my life and all of the sudden was getting attacked with one after the other constantly.  Finally I saw a CNP who worked in Urology.  Because of having 4 CT scans within a short time they didn't want to do another one because of radiation exposure.  So she ordered an abdominal ultrasound and X-ray. Low and behold they came up with no kidney stones.  She said the only way to know for sure would be another CT scan, which they were not willing to do or exploratory surgery, but also commented that if the stone was big enough to be causing problems it would have shown up on the ultrasound and/or x-ray.   Went back to my general practitioner and she ordered a pelvic ultrasound and referred me to a gyn.  Pelvic ultrasound came back "unremarkable", and when I saw the GYN, she said everything looked and felt fine, and suggested trying an IUD.(??..not sure how that would help but whatever.)  So I went to a different doc, this time an MD GP who is my kids' doctor.  I know he's very proactive and have seen him for other things.  I should also mention I have Multiple Sclerosis.  Anyway, he decided to pull my CT scans from the kidney stones. He said he found it "very interesting" that on both of my CT scans showed inflamation (inflammation) in my lower intestines, the exact spot I've been having pain. He also said the pain was too high to be related to my female parts.  He was the first doc to really do an abdominal examination and while pushing on my stomach found the exact spot I was having pain.  The best way I can describe it is if you had a softball in your stomach and someone was trying to flatten it. (that's how it felt to me, but he did not feel any mass.)  He is convinced it's an intestinal issue so ordered bloodwork and a colonoscopy.  The lab work came back completley normal.  I have the colonoscopy tomorrow and am scared as hell.  Both of the procedure itself as well as the results.  He told me to stay off the internet but of course I want to know what this is and am terrified it's colon cancer.  Can anyone give me any ideas or insight based on my symptoms?  He also said because I already have MS, one auto immune disease I'm more likely to get another one and he thinks this is maybe Crohn's or Colitis.  Also, does anyone know if I'll get the results or if they found anything doing the colonoscopy right away or if it takes a few days?  Sorry for the novel, I just want some answers, and feel like a hypochondriac because they can't figure out what is wrong.

Hang in there, I find you have to stay on top of them to get answers or they will just let it go...The colonoscopy you will most likely get results right away, if you have any polyps they will send those away and you will get the results i think like 2 weeks later.  The test is really easy, the worst part is the prep which you have probably already started.  Good luck let us know how you do, try not to stress yourself out unless you have to as it can only make stomach problems even worse.
