Left side pain

I have periodic intestinal cramping with a dull to acute pain in my left side.  I've been through all the tests for gallbladder, kidney, and pancrease and have tested out okay.  I have a gastroenterologist and he is baffled so has anyone ever had these symptoms without finding the cause?

I've had a partial hysterectomy and been told that I could have diverticulitis.  My last colonoscopy didn't show anything.  I do watch my diet in case it is the diverticulitis. The pain continues, mostly dull but at times acute.  The appt. with the pain management dr. is the first week in November.  Not that I think that will give me a lot of answers.

I have diverculitis which causes left side pain, and also had ovarians cysts which didnt show up in ultra sound i had a lap which confirmed the cysts. My gastro told me that IBS is for life and doesnt always show up in colonoscopy only if you happen to be suffering symptoms during my lap it also showed alot of adhesions.

I hope this my help in your quest for treatment.

I had the same thing and turns out I had a ovarian cyst. Ask for an ultrasound to confirm if you do have a cyst.

Thanks, I'll check out the website.  I've thought maybe IBS but don't get any response from my dr. about it.  He is determined I have pancreatitus and my gastroenterologist isn't sure what is going on.  He is sending me to a pain management dr.

Thanks.

I had similar symptoms for years. I used to tell my mother that if I ever die let doctors check my left side. Anyway, jokes aside. I had colonoscopy, barium X-rays, ultra sound test for gallbladder, kidney, and pancrease, and everything came out OK. And I had these symptoms for years. Later I started to learn about IBS. And my symptoms sounded like IBS.
go to www.drdahlman.com website, and download a free report on IBS. You can also try Dr. Dahlman's treatment if you want.
