Licorice toots??

I'm experiencing strange smells when I let off gas. Sometimes it smells like fish, or oranges, and tonight it smelled quite like black licorice! Oddly enough I haven't had any of these foods to eat in the past month. The black licorice thing really gets my boyfriend in a tizzy since he hates the stuff. Is there anyone else out there that has this weird smelling gas syndrome? I guess I should be thankful it doesn't come out smelling like a dog fart,right?! I've tried the beano thing but it just doesn't work. Please, if anyone has any suggestions I would be grateful, as would my boyfriend...and cats!!
