I have been taking Lipitor for the last 10 years and lately I have developed muscle pains. I was told the pain might be because of the Lipitor. I stopped taking them for a couple of months, the pain was much less however my cloestrol level was back to 290.
I had to come off of Lipitor after one week due to severe muscle and joint pain. My mother had moderate pain after starting Lipitor. We were both encouraged by our separate physicians to take coenzymeCoenzyme co q10 Coenzyme q10 Q10 with the Lipitor. While my pain continued, my mother's pain has almost completely disappeared.
