Liver Cyst

Hello All,

Had a CT scan on Monday and the results showed a small liver cyst.  The nurse who told me it was "nothing to worry about."

Anyone have any thoughts about liver cysts and whether or not they are "nothing to worry about"?

I sure feel like I should worry about them.

Thanks

I called the doctor's office back to check on the diagnosis and what it meant.  The nurse told me that these types of cysts - small ones that is - are quite common and that if they scanned the population at large they would find them on a high percentage of the population.  My cyst was small, less than a cm and hardly noticeable on the scan.

She told me not to stress about it but I'm going to follow-up when I have my next visit.

I have two!!  I agree with you, my initial reaction was "WHAT?!"  I was told the same thing - that it's totally fine.  I would appreciate any feedback on this as well!
