Liver disease and eating disorders

by perfectionawaits, Sep 17, 2009 05:35PM
I have a very rare genetic disease in my liver but I also have problems with eating.
I cant help my eating (I have been diagnosed with borderline anorexia with bulimic tendencies), but i am worried for my liver.
It isnt in great condition and plays up a lot but im worried that not eating- purging will make it worse.
Can my eating disorder affect my liver?
please answer I really need to know.
thankyou

You have a very bad eating disorder that you need to go get help with.  I am not a doctor, but I think it would be very bad for this. You can't be getting nurishment from your eating if you are purging up what you eat.  It is an issue that you need to seek medical advice on.  good luck
