Liver enzymes

by dingle, Oct 24, 2002 12:00AM
I recently had some blood work done and my results showed elevated liver enzymes. My cholesterol was excellent,121. My liver enzymes were slightly elevated, 39, and my triglycerides were elevated. My doctor has not explained what this could mean. I do not see him again until Jan 2003 and I am curious about what this could mean. I have been having a lot of pain in my left side, could this be connected to the enzyme elevation. It is uncomfortable, but not unbearable. I have noticed several small lumps in top of hand and wrist. thanks for your attn. PegB

Hi, I don't know if yo will get this since it's so far down but I had routine blood work done and my liver enzymes were elevated ALT 227 and then was diagnosed with Hepatitis C. I have learned that their many things that can make you enzymes elevate....medicine, vitamins, alcohol, tylenol etc. I wouldn't worry but would follow up on it.   Michelle
