Liver side effects from methotrexate?

Dx Crohn's 1970, small and large intestines, no resections.Steroids for 32 yrs, methotrexate 6 yrs. Also have breast cancer, dx 2003 and had 6 x FEC chemo in 2003. Today my husband said: "Did you realise the whites of your eyes are yellow?". No, I didn't till I looked in the mirror. Since being on mtx I have had monthly blood tests, including liver and kidney function. Tests last month showed low white cells, enlarged red cells, flagged up by the hospital path dept. GP said: "only to be expected when on mtx." Never had abnormal bloods in the 6 yrs on mtx. I am concerned I may either have liver mets from bc, or due to mtx. Does anyone have any input? I am seeing GP's nurse Monday 30 April for normal bloods and will see what she says, but in the meantime would appreciate any advice.
