Looking for a diagnosis?

I have visited my GP on several occassions and recently did a faeces sample where the results came back normal.  Here are my symptoms:
1.  Diarrhoea for past 3 weeks.  (Only in the morning and evening)
2. Nausea throughout the day (appetite limited but still normal)
3. Weight loss
4.  General feeling of fatigue and unwellness.

PHM
Initially thought it was IBS as I sometimes get this when I'm stressed.
kidney infection about 8 weeks ago (could there be a link).  No pain or urine issues at present.
P.s. Definitely not pregnant.

Please help!!

You should definitely try Probiotics since you were on 2 anitbiotics but it may take a month or so to get your intestinal bacteria back to normal. Has your doctor mentioned if you could have got antibiotic induced colitis????  It is when antobiotics eat off all the good bacteria in your bowel and cause abdomen pain, diarrhea, nausea and loss of appetite etc... Just thought I would give you what I know but I could be way off base.

Thank you.  Not completely sure what they were checking for but some sort of bacteria I think??
Can't remember the antibiotics I received but had 2 different ones straight after each other.
Sorry I couldn't answer your questions better.  I will try some probiotics to see if thst helps.

Thanks

What specifically did they check for with the stool sample? There are a number of different things that could be looked at...........

What drugs were used for the kidney infection? If antibiotics, have you considered trying probiotics to try to 'unskew' your intestinal bacteria? Changes in bacterial number and type due to antibiotic usage can change bowel habits enormously. Antibiotics can be wonderful, but they can also stress your system.
