Loss of appetite

Loss of appetite

I had my gallbladder out 1 month ago. Ever since I have had a loss of appetite.  I have been experiencing episodes in which I get very hot, start sweating and then get very nauseous.  If I eat once these episodes start I get sick.  Any ideas?

There are unfortunately a number of people who have a difficult time adjusting after gallbladder surgery. Some find the ingestion of fatty foods result in some of the same symptoms you're describing. I know your appetite has decreased, but when you do eat is it moderately low fat?

Others seems to develop symptoms of acid reflux following this surgery, so it might be a good idea to check back with your doc and see what he or she suggests.

I do have acid reflux and have been taking Prilosec 2 times a day for several years now.  My typical daily diet is 1/2 bagel in the morning, a small salad with light dressing for lunch and a Lean Cuisine dinner at night.  That is all I eat all day.

Try adding metmucil in everday, my surgeon suggested 2 capsules every morning.  By sounds of your diet you are not getting enough fibre, or nutrition in your diet.
