Lower left quadrant pain

Hope someone may shed some light on this; have a history of IBS and Diverticulitis. Been having sort of dull, irritating pain in lower left quadrant for a few months.Drs thought maybe it was ovarian and had tests and surgery for cysts found there. BUT, the pain is still there. Not sharp, not crampy.. just there. Started with a bad IBS attack and just sort of settled there.. sometimes it feels like it's in the hip as well. Had a consult with surgeon but he's reluctant to do colonoscopy so soon after surgery.. will see him again in 3 weeks. Any ideas? Thanks
