Lymphocyte Infiltration Gastritis & Diverticulosis

I am 35 year old female. This was my second upper endoscopy. First was about 3 1/2 years ago with same results. Gastritis with lymphocitic infiltration. The doctor also did a colonoscopy this time because I have been having watery bowel movements several times a day with severe abdominal bloating and contstant gurgling and pain. Since May I have gained 20 lbs very unusual for me so I totally cut back calories. I was only eating a half of boiled chicken breast with a single serving of dark green veggie for lunch and dinner. I gained more weight and started having severe edema from head to toe. At one point I woke up 8 lbs heavier than the day before. All this still with several watery stools a day. During this time I also developed eczema type rashes on my cheek and a few spots on my abdomin (abdomen) along with extreme fatigue, muscle weakness and occassional visual disturbances. Cleared by a Nuerologist, Hematologist, Dermatologist and Immunologist. I'm feeling much better and haven't had the extreme swelling since starting suppliments of B vitamin complex, prenatal vitamins and protien. Fiber seems to be helping the watery stools. My question though is could all of those other symptoms have been from not absorbing nutrients properly? Also if I'm not absorbing nutrients and have all that diarrhea how did I gain so much weight so fast? Sorry, one more, what can cause the lymphocitic infiltration gastritis if I was still taking the Zantac 150 2x's a day?

Lymphocytic gastritis is a very specific 'critter' in it's own league. Google 'lymphocytic gastritis' and do some reading. Also check to see if you're celiac as this condition is often found in those with celiac disease. Everything you're describing (IMO) points toward celiac disease. You may want to consider checking via fecal antibody testing. The blood test may or may not show up positive even if you are 'celiac.' You can read about the fecal antibody testing at the enterolab website.
