The colonoscopy came back PERFECT! No mucous, no polyps, no NOTHING! YEAHHH!!!! Well my GI doc who is a surgeon, is insisting I have a Colectomy
anyways. He feels that where the surgical margin is, that one day the mucous left behind can one day turn into cancer 5-10 years down the road.

I know surgeons get paid by doing surgery. I dont know if this is a surgery to just fill his pocketbook, or what. I am going to get a third opinion, but wanted to know if anyone else, who is healthy, was told to have a Colectomy
