Many symptoms, unknown cause, please help!

well i have been dealing with chronic stomach problems since about january (when i look back on everything)  i really only have realized something is wrong with me since about march.  i decided to go to my doctors when i was having the following symptoms for over a week: chronic abdominal pain, Chronic nausea that would occur from eating (now it doesn't even matter what kind of food, it just happens, also vomited only once because it does not help), sharp chest pains (which began happening all of the sudden), low grade fevers, nausea that gets worse late at night to early morning, dry heaving, cramping, and lost about 15 pounds, fatigue, absolutely no energy anymore (i'm about 23 years old).  also i get so nervous when i my stomach starts to feel upset because i know i am going to be miserable for the next 3+ hours so i'm sure i am working myself up more.  also when i get sever nausea attacks (online they said they were called gallstone attacks) i get really bloated and diarrhea.  i have been getting my period regularly, i am in no way pregnant and have been on yasmine consistently.  i have also done research that back and neck pain have been known to come about from gallstones (which i always assumed from my period).

i noticed this became more sever when i drank alcohol, i did some research and assumed i had an ulcer, so i called my family doctor and said what i thought was wrong and i went in and he gave me prevacid to see if it would help and i would have to go back in 3 weeks.  i know my body pretty well and i didn't think i had acid reflux (like the doctor said), i took the medication and it did nothing, i went back 3 weeks later and he gave me something stronger (nexium) still didn't do ANYTHING and sent me to a specialist.  once i went to the specialist i had an ultrasound of my right upper quadrant because i have having tenderness in my stomach to check and see if anything was going on and blood work (which came back normal).  i got my results back and i have a 4mm gallstone that the doctor said could be the cause of my pain. soon after that i was out and got extremely ill and i was driven to the ER.  once i got there, i had a low grade fever, the nausea, abdominal cramping and pain.  when i was there they hooked me up to an iv, took my blood (normal) and gave me something at the hospital to help with the nausea (didn't help), then i was given morphine for my pain, the doctor wrote me a scrip for zofran (which works when i'm NOT extremely sick like having chronic nausea for 3+ hours) and vicodon which i am to afraid to take to upset my stomach worse.

then i scheduled a HIDA scan and a Gastroscopy which both came back normal.  this coming wednesday i am going for a stomach emptying scan to see if that will help anything.  i still really think it is my gallbladder and that is what everyone is telling me, but they do not want to give me an unnecessary procedure if my gallbladder is working fine and my gallstone is not interfering with it.

please does anyone have any ideas or any way to help.  i feel terrible for my parents who keep spending money for useless tests and visits that are wasting my time for the doctors to tell me i am fine and make me feel like i am nothing but a mental case with an eating issue.  i know something is wrong with me and any help, answers, feedback, referral is greatly appreciated!!!

Hello,

I have been having problems with severe pressure in my upper abdomen. I have had every test you can imagine and the docs have not been able to find the problems. The pressure is so bad at times in makes it hard to breath. It feels as if something is pushing up against my diaphram (sp) all the time. The only thing my doctors have found is a bulky pancreas (by ct test) that they have ruled out as causing my problem. They did blood work (amylyse, lypase and WBC tests) and everything was normal. They did stool test and it was normal. Hida scan and gastric dumping test all normal. The want to do a colonoscopy next. I have a feeling it will be normal. I was wondering if I could have a problem with my pancreas. I am not loosing weight, no jaundice, my stools are light in color at times, but not clay color. Does any of this sound like anything you experienced with pancreatitis? I was concerned about pancreatic cancer, but my doctor and the Gastrologist both said it was not pancreatic cancer. They do not feel it is pancreatitis either, but have not tested me for it. How do they test for it?

Thanks
Tedm

First question I have for you is:  1.  Do you hurt between your shoulder blades, and neck, same time feeling bloated?   2.  When you hurt is it directly in the middle of your
stomach and travels around to your back?  You said, "It gets worse after eating."
?   3.   The pain you are experiencing... is it located in one area?  Now, I want you to know how long it too me to find the right gastro doc.  I had this old man, and he did many procedures, along with the one you are having.  Don't worry about this test..
They give you something to eat, and wait.  (Mine?  Came back as if it went straight through)  This was after my gallbladder had been removed, them thinking that was my problem. (which was NOT)  After seeing my new Doc?  I have been diagnosed with,
Chronic Pancreatits, just got out of the hospital about 5 days ago.  They did some

kind of E.S.P. (I don't remember) anyways, I was put under, and the doc placed a stent in the bile duct which was blocked and had narrowed.  Then, I ended up with
pancreatitis again because the Doc. had to touch it.

Do your Bowels have a clay color, fatty on top, and hard to flush?

This pain in which you speak of sounds very similar to what I have been through

for over 10 yrs.  This last hospital stay?  Came about after a week when my doc

did a celiac block.  It failed to work.  Then, there is your I.B.S. if there have been changes at all?  Always call, or go for an appointment. The reason I say "Try not
to get emotional?  My Doctor told me I was Mental.  ( this was when I fired the whole
Gastro Group.

Oh, one more thing?  Does your blood pressure drop?  Low Blood Pressure?

How about bloating?  I know the difference from menstrual bloating and stomach bloating.

I have been researching over and over for people like me... there are many... who

never gets a break from Pancreatitis unless our Pancreas gets' removed.  I will be praying for you, as you under go this test.  Ask your Doc if he will check your amilase,  and the other enzyme that your pancreas is suppose to put out for : insulin,

and the break up of food, so it does not do what you are doing now.  By all means, I am not a nurse, or anyone with any medical background.  This is just what has happened to me, and I offer you what was found.  I also have Celiac Sprue.
