Medicines besides sucralfate for bile reflux

besides sucralfate what medications can be use to treat bile reflux..i know most medicines that treat acid reflux do not work for this condition

that's true, it'll block any medicine or ...anything pretty much with sucralfate (hate those pills..huge things)

that is a toughie i'm not sure what else helps bile reflux because I know reglan causes the stomach to contract and empty out (or help)..another idea is to sleep on your right side..

not sure :S (that probably didn't help sorry)

yeah but are there other compounds that can be used..the problem im having with this one is i have frequent pvcs of the heart and i take atenlol and i know your suppose to take all meds 2 hours before or after taking sucralfate so thats what i did but i feel like its still affecting the absorption of the medicine because while im taking the sucralfate it feels like im not even taking the atenolol cause my heart is pounding and racing as if i didnt

i've *heard* reglan helps..but it has many nasty side effects and shouldn't be taken long term.

I hate to say it but compounds like the one you mentioned are about the only meds that are used to coat the stomach. In some, questran is used. It's a bile-binding resin, but it won't prevent bile reflux.
