I'm only twenty years old and have always been in great shape without any health problems to worry about. However, lately I have been having severe mid-back pains everytime I swallow something (whether it being a solid or liquid). I haven't been able to eat a proper meal with out feeling the pain in my back. I currently don't have health insurance so seeing a doctor about this is a last option for me. Do you know what this may be? Any comments or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
can also exacerbate the pain in your back. I wouldn't stress about this as you'll just make the muscles in your back even more tense and prone to spasms
Of course, there may be other considerations. If this becomes a long term chronic issue or you develop other symptoms, such as abdominal/bowel pain/swelling or kidney discomfort then its time for a doctor's appointment.
I've actually had episodes similar to yours with back pain and also with pain shooting down my flanks when I swallow food or water. But my case is a bit more complicated than yours. Hope your pain will resolve soon.
