Morning nausea(not pregnant) fatigue, loss of appetite

I really need some help with this. For about 4 weeks I have been having severe nausea from the time I get up till around 1 or 2 in the afternoons. I have no energy, I have to make myself eat( feel more like eating late in the evening) I DO have a history of IBS ( diareah / constipation ) I have some discomfort in the upper abd.The worst part is the nausea and lack of energy. I feel sometimes if I don't lie down , I will just pass out. I have been off work for a month now ( worry about job doesn't help problem) I have had several tests done, am going back to dr. tomorrow for liver test. So far they have found nothing. I know I am not crazy, but after a while, with no name to put with this, it is making me crazy. I have seen others post on here with same symptoms, but the post was in archives of last year. I looked for answers ( Piper123 had same symptoms 8-6-06 ) didn't see any. Wish I could get in touch with anyone that has gone through this and is feeling better ( need to know there is light at the end of the tunnel) Please respond anyone.
thank you
trixb

I also have these same problems- nausea in upper abdomen, extreme fatigue, weight loss (60 lbs.) aches and pains. It has been diagnosed as depression by several doctors and other causes ruled out by tests.. I had MRI and CT scan, saw s counselor, had surgery; nothing has helped much. After taking medicines I still have it; guess it hasn't been the right med yet.

Have you considered celiac disease? Gluten sensitivity?  Try not eating wheat for three days and see how you feel.

Wow!  I am sorry to see others suffering the way I have been, but it is a relief to know that I am not alone.  I have been ill for about 5 months now.  Nausea almost every morning, loss of appetite, extreme fatigue, swollen lymph nodes in neck, headaches...I have had lots of labwork done, CT scans, Ultrasound, Endoscopy, Gastric emptying study...still no answer.  I take anti nausea medication that the gastroenterologist perscribed to help, but symptoms persist.  If anyone has any answers, I'd love to have my life back.

Hi

You really do need to see a gastro dr.  Your symptoms could be caused by something as simple as gerd.  I had a lot of problems with gerd which caused me to cough all the time expecially when I laid down at night.  I had a Nissen done and really am much better.

You could also have something more like chrons.  I have chrons and didn't know that I had it for years.  Just lots of loose bms and back pain.  Then I started not eating and had pains in the lower right side.   Finally found out I had chrons and had to have a bowel resection.   Now doing much better.

So do see the gastro dr.  Good luck

Hi All,

I got an upper endoscopy last week and appears I have Gastritis and a Hiatus hernia.  The symptoms that I had and what you all are describing fit exactly.  I am hoping with the Medicine and new Diet I will feel better in no time  I will let you all know of my progress.  I suggest you all see a GI doctor and atleast get an endoscopy to make sure.

Best Wishes

Hi all,

I too have been going through this, severe nausea, extreme fatigue to the point where I have to force feed myself 3 spoon full of anything solid in the morning to early evening, towards the evening I tend to feel a little better.  This has been going on for about 10 days now, and I have missed quite a bit of work, It is very relieving that this is just not me going through these problems, Please let me know if you all have had your issues resolved!

Thanks

I am going through exactly the same (it's almost a relief that i'm not going crazy) and doctor does not have any answers.  My next step is to see a gastroenterologist.  I have an appt. scheduled next week, but not soon enough. I just want to get to the bottom of this so I can move on.  I too have missed quite a bit of work.  Please let me know if you've gotten any answers by now and I sure hope you have recovered.

You are not crazy. I wish I had the answers only that I have the same symptons. I thought it was just the flu. I have nausea and no real appetite at all till evening.
I know this does not help but you are not alone in your quest. Good luck and I hope you and I find what we are looking for.

You know I had similar symptoms with a fatigue so harsh that I felt very faint...you answered my post about glycolax. I found out I was anemic, cause unknown yet, but I started eating a hi iron cereal and that helped greatly, also I had body spasms, so I took Magnesium malic acid, and that has gotten rid of the spasms and helped with energy a bit. I cut out very heavy meals and grease, that helped too.
