Mucousy Stools in 7 Month Old

Mucousy Stools in 7 Month Old

My daughter is 7+ months.  She seems to *always* have mucous in her stools.

She has been completely breastfed since birth.  We are slowly starting to intro her to solids.  When we first tried a month and a half ago she got quite constipated.  We backed off and have started even slower, eliminating anything that binds her even just a little.

When she was just a few weeks old I noticed that there was a strong link to her fussiness and gas and my eating dairy.  I stopped eating major dairy products and her fussiness has been minimal.  However, she still tends to have mucousy diapers.

The last few days it has seemed to be more frequent.  She is having BMs more often with the solids,

I guess I'm wondering how concerned should I be.  Should I take her in right away to see her doctor?

Thanks!

I should also add two things:

1.  She has been teething again the last few weeks.  I know increased saliva can add to mucus in the stool.

2.  I did eat dairy the last few days... didn't remember.
