Mucus covered stool

I went to the doctors for this awhile ago, he said it might be over growth in bacteria, stool tested me for that and is still happening, was not that. When it does get really bad I have a loss of appetite and eat much less than normal. The stools are soft break apart a lot of the time and have lots of white covered mucus on them. I was on antibiotics at the time for a staph infection in my leg that came and went, so he changed the antibiotics too. Any ideas on whats
