My 5 year old daughter has black specks in stool!

My 5 yr. old daughter has been having problems with her bowels.  She was having accidents every day becasue she couldn't tell when she had to go to the bathroom.  x-ray's showed that her colon was full of stool & wasn't emptying correctly.  We tried cleaning her out with Miralax & Mineral Oil, per her dr.s orders.  After 3 weeks of doing the "clean out" on Fri. Sat & Sun. of each week & her being on miralax daily since Sept. her x-rays showed that it had gotten worse instead of better.  She was admitted to the hospital on Dec. 18th where they put the tube down her nose & gave her meds to clean her out.  She was doing alot better for about 2 weeks.  She is now back to having the same problems.  Today when I was cleaning her up I noticed tons of little black specks in her stool.  I haven't seen this before & I don't have a clue what it could be.  Her gastro. dr. has scheduled her for a colonoscopy in March.

Has anyones else child experienced any of this?  Does anyone have a clue to what the black specks could be??

This has me really worried.

Did you ever find out what caused the specs in the stool. I have a nine month old son and he is doing the same thing and sometimes has issues with constipation
