My AST and ALT Enzymes

My AST and ALT Enzymes

I am 42. Extremely healthy all my life. I had HepA when I was 7 years old.

On routinary tests 7 months ago we found that my ALT and AST were at 45 and 82 respectively (normal levels are 15-37 and 20-65 respectively). At the time I was under 10mg of Lexapro which I took for six months (the only med I took then, besides vitamins, on and off). Upon these news I stopped Lexapro and everything actually (I have not taken an aspirin even) so that I could give my liver 6 months without any meds at all and have another test.

Before I continue; we did blood tests for HepB and C and were negative and my ultrasound came out normal for both liver and gallbladder. Fast forward now 6 months and my ALT and AST as actually HIGHER than before at 57 and 122 respectively. They took blood again for another HepB test and did an ultrasound today (results on Wednesday). What's going on? What are the possible causes of this if all tests are normal.

I have no pain only a slight (and inconsistent or intermitent) numbness on the liver area, under my ribs.

Thank you for your advice.

Rick

Correction, my AST and ALT were 61 and 64 in Jan 27, 2010 and now 57 and 122. AST has decreased but I also heard that one is not that critical and that ALT is. I am not a drinker.
