My General Health

Hi Can Somebody Help??

I am a 29 year old male who went to my GP back in 2001 and complained to my GP about really
bad acid reflux. He sent me to my local Gastro Clinic who preformed a Barium Meal and informed
me I had IBS and that my Acid Problems were caused by the IBS. They put me on Zantac for quite
a few years. After about 3-4 years I then noticed the Heartburn was getting worse and felt maybe the
tablets were no longer working. I went back to see my GP who changed my medication to Lansoprazole 30mg to try and reduce the amount of Acid that my stomach was producing. This seemed to work ok for about a year and a half and then I started to get Acid in the back of my throat
when I tried to sleep and I found myslef wakeing up a few times a night feeling sick. I went back to my GP again in December 2006 and complained to my GP about feeling sick and also I had gained a pain in my lower bowel. Again he referred me back up to my local hospital for some test. I saw the consultant who told me that I had been diagnosed with IBS years ago and that further test were not needed and that I had to live with problem. I got home feeling like **** and wrote to my local hospital complaints department and I received a reply within days asking me to contact the consultant by phone. When I called her she offered me OSD Endoscopy and for the bowel a limited Stigmoid colonoscopy and a barium enema. I went for the test and waited for the results. I was told that my bowel was clear and that I had a 2cm sliding Hiatus Ernia, I was told to continue to take the Lansoprazole although I could take a 15mg in the morning and a 30mg at bed time and that I could also take an Antacid afterwards allowing atleast 2-3 hours gap after taking the lansoprazole. I have
followed these instructions by the hospital nurses and everything seemed ok until about 7 weeks ago
when I went out for a meal at Pizza Hut. I had a basic pizza and some chicken pieces which were slightly spicy (less then southern fried in my own view). Everything wad ok until the next morning when I woke up in pain in my bowel with the urge to run to the toilet. I went to have a bowel movement and it was bad I had really bad diarhoea and everytime I left the toilet I got about 10 footsteps away from the toilet doubled up in pain and had another bowel movement. All in all I counted 11 times. I had never had this problem before and by the end of it I was bleeding lightly from the back passage. I went up to my local A&E as I was really concerned and in pain. The A&E consultant who delt with me done a Rectal Exam and told me that my bowel was inflammed and that blood was present, he also took some blood and informed me that my ALT was very high. He suggested that maybe it was not IBS and that maybe I had IBD. He gave me some tablet steriods and I went home. I went to see my GP who told me that I never had IBD and that the blood was probably caused by a fissure just inside my rectum. He gave me some cream which has helped but not got rid of the problem. I went back to see my GP again about 4 days ago and he prescribed me XYLOPROCT containing Lidocaine 50mg and Hydrocortisone 2.75mg. I started to use it today only to find it burned badly and has caused the bleed to worsen.  I am gay although I am not penetrated although I do use my finger on the odd occassion for rectal pleasure so not aggrivate my problem anymore. Could I have damaged myself inside or my prostate. I used to be able to eat mild spicy food like Southern Fried Chicken without a problem, but now when I eat anything like that it just goes straight through me. I noticed 2 days ago that I have two strange lumps just below my rib cage One each side. My mum says it's probably nothing but I am getting really concerned now as I feel that I am falling apart.  Please believe me that I am not a Hypocondriact although I am really getting concerned over my general health now. Can you advise me as to what could be wrong
