Mystery illness for over a year, please help

A year ago, I had routine knee surgery and when I woke up my throat was sore.  The anesthesiologist told me it would be sore for a day or son because she had to use "too big of a tube," she didn't have one that fit down my throat.  Oky, well, I didn't think anything of it, but literally two days later I was sicker than a dog. Vomiting so horrible I had to walk around with a trash can!  The pain down my throat and in my esophagus was excrutiating, not just GERD, this pain and burning was so bad that I was living on Lidocaine VISC, drinking it constantly.  Was eating nothing, except things that were soft life mashed potatoes and jello.  Finally I was so sick that my gastro had me admitted in critical condition.  They did every test they knew, stomach emptying, scope, PH test, swallowing test, and everything CAME BACK NEGATIVE!  I went home and ended up in critical condition again!  Same thing, but this time, no tests because they don't know what it is.  They thought it was damage to my esophagus from the tube from surgery.  Makes sense since I got sick literally the next day.  Well, it's been a year now, and I'm still sick and they still don't have a clue what is wrong.  The symptoms have gotten a little better, at least I'm not critical anymore, but I am frustrated!  I need to know what is wrong with me.  I feel like I'm just going to die from this and no one will have ever found out what was wrong.  I've also been to an ENT doc, an internal medicine doc, you name it!  Can anyone help??

I don't have a chronic sore throat and I'm not sick like I have a virus.

I assune by your user name that you work in a kennel?  If so, have them check you for parasites or any transmittable disease from the kennel.
