NO H pylori peptic ulcer and sorethroat

I have a peptic ulcer but the test for H pylori didn't find any. I have a sorethoroat, and was advised to sleep keeping my head atleast 6 inches from the body possition. How long will my sorethroat last. Currently I am on cimetitdine 600mg twice a day.
