Nausea, bad breath, no appetite

My daughter is always has nausea, weak, can barely eat.  This has been happening for the past year, getting worse in the past few weeks.  She has had an upper GI, ultrasound, blood work, urine test and xrays.  Everything has come up negative.  She had mono over 9 months ago, and her latest blood work showed the mono was back.  She has lost 12 lbs in two weeks and the doctors are coming up empty.  The issues have caused her to start having anxiety and the other day she had a panic attack thinking her body was shutting down on her.

She is usually very active and has danced for the past 15 years.  Now all she can do is feel miserable and barely make it across the room.

Any suggestions, Please!!

Welcome to the gastroenterology community!  I got mono 3 years ago and have never been the same since.  I would recommend researching gastroparesis which can come after something like mono.  The test for this is a gastric emptying scan.  I have gastroparesis and my symptoms are just nausea and heartburn, I don't have vomiting or feel that much worse after eating.  I've found that zofran (prescription) works best for nausea.

Have any of her doctors given her anything for the nausea?  The best this I've found to help is Benadryl, you can get it OTC most places.  That my relive at least some of her discomfort at least.  As far as what might be wrong with her, I don't know.  Are you working with a GI doctor or just her PCP?  I've been suffering with nausea (and some other symptoms) for the past 2 years and My doctor can't find whats going on. I hope she can feel better and can start dancing again soon.  I know how depressing it can be to have your passions ripped away for you.  I was both a dancer and a runner before I got sick.
